We have a heart for this city and we thoroughly believe that God has a special place and goal for Montgomery, Alabama.  We also believe that the redemptive power of God can change schools, families, and society.  We believe that God has put Eastdale in Montgomery to be a source of life-change as we reach our neighborhoods with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

* Family Promise:  Somewhere around 3.5 million America people (including 1.35 million children) are impacted by homelessness at some point in their lives.  We at Eastdale believe that God has called the church as a primary vehicle in ministering to and serving those who are less fortunate than we are.  As a small part of the answer, we have decided to dedicate four weeks out of the year to providing a home to homeless families.  Through partnering with Family Promise, a non-profit organization committed to empowering low-income families to rise above poverty, we host around 14 people, providing them food, shelter, and companionship for a week. 

* Wares Ferry Elementary School:  Budget cuts and stressed teachers are some of the headlines that capture our attention when we think of the impact that our local economy and world situation have on our schools.  Instead of running from our public schools, we want to be a voice of hope and encouragement for our teachers.  Throughout the year, we will host teachers at Eastdale to feed and love on them as well as have a variety of projects geared toward meeting specific needs of the school.

Church planting is the greatest evangelistic tool in the world.  We at Eastdale are committed to becoming a catalyst for church planting in this city and throughout the world.  In North America, we are committed to partnering with church planters as we see this place God has planted us come to life through establishing local churches.  Every North American Mission Trip will revolve around the ultimate purpose of seeing churches planted and communities reached through church planting.  In June, we are planning to begin a relationship with a church plant in Shelby County, Alabama. 

We are committed to making Christ's name known throughout the world.  Through the adoption of a people group, Eastdale purposes to invest our time and resources in sharing with them the Good News of Jesus Christ.  We are committed through our giving, praying, and activity to reach men and women, knowing that one day we will join with people from every nation, tongue, and tribe in singing the praises of our Savior and King.
